Your goal

Rewrite page 6 together

Use past forms to create a clear, original ending and read it aloud with confidence.

Work in a team of two or three students. Everyone helps create and check the story.
Start when the three bears find Goldilocks asleep in Baby Bear’s bed. Decide what happens next and how your story ends.
Write 60–90 words. Keep your ending connected to pages 1–5.
Generate one AI image that matches your team's ending. Write the story yourselves; use AI to create the illustration.
Show your image to the class. One team member reads the complete ending aloud.

Required language

Include every ingredient

Was and were: use both to describe past feelings, people or situations.
Wasn’t or weren’t: include at least one negative sentence.
Past action verbs: tell the events using past forms you already know.
One taught phrasal verb: use it in a form that fits your sentence.
One taught idiom: make its meaning fit the events in your ending.

Underline your phrasal verb and idiom in your written page and label them so your team can check both.

Review the expressions we have learned

Phrasal verbs: go back → went back; get over → got over.

Idioms: a blast from the past; a trip down memory lane; the time of my life.

You may also choose an expression from an earlier unit. Choose one that makes sense in your story.

Make your voice tell the story

Pronunciation matters a lot. Rehearse the full ending before presenting. Pay special attention to was, were, wasn’t, weren’t, past verb endings and your two expressions.

Read at a clear, comfortable speed. Pause at punctuation and use your voice to express the characters’ feelings. Your teammates should listen and help the reader rehearse.

Make the image large enough for the class to see. It should show your new ending clearly.
